Why Are Weekends So Short...?
Nov. 7th, 2005 08:42 amHi everyone - i hope you've all had a good weekend. :)
I'm currently about to kick that one colleague of mine. Sitting there complaining how much work she has - what about WORKING instead of talking about it for ages? Seriously... She does that every day and is going blah endlessly about it. Fact is she's been allowed to stop doing all the work our team does and does special work now. She wanted it this way and now is complaining she's doing this? Hello???
But enough about that - i don't want my mood to drop into annoyance and mysery. Gah!
Weekend was simply great! :)
On Saturday mum and me went by train to Konstanz - we even managed to catch the earliest train we wanted which is a direct one (very good :)). We dragged the package for Michaela (friend from Germany) with us and first thing we did was posting it. Heck, postage cost only 7 Euro!!!!!!!! I'd have had to pay about 26 Euro posting it from here which means all in all more than the train tickes price!!! I hope she'll get it soon and safe... :)
Then we went to the Lago shopping centre and strolled through the shops there in search for winter coats... Went into H&M and found a lovely long skirt and 2 tops instead. :))) mum found 2 tops as well. :)
Then went to some of the deco and this-and-that shops - they've really nice ones there, not expensive at all. :) i got a couple of advent calendar things for mum which resulted in me having ALL calendar stuff for her now. Go me! :D found really nice things. :)
We had lunch at the asian mini-restaurant there which has the most delicious crispy duck with veggies on a coconut-curry sauce. Mmmmmmh!!! I want some NOW! *lol*
Later we went to the market place and the shopping area of Konstanz.
Had a longer visit in the crafts shop where i found a couple of things - and found some more in a cheaper shop that actually had a couple of scrap booking stickers and that at a very cheap price *yay*. Also found 2 small fairy figurines - milky white, so i either leave them like this as they're really beautiful, or maybe i'll paint them some time. I'll see. Also got some other things, some single paper napkins, too with lovely patterns for some things i want to make.
Searched on for wintercoats and finally we both found each one - mine cost only 20 euro which is an incredibly great price! It's lovely warm and looks really nice, and it's dark red. Ha! :D so i can be a female Santa. *lol*
Had a bit of a coffee break and later did some food shopping as well as got some cosmetics and vitamines in another shop. I found some special stuff for lip care which is really excellent - must remember to buy more next time. My poor lips were really ouch by Saturday and now they're recovering in no time at all. Sooo happy about that! Got some special cream as well as a *normal* version of it and then one called *Mooncare* which you put on overnight and is just lovely. Yay! :)
Mmmh, got some yummy food, too. And some delicious german bread as well.
And then finally dragged it all back home - lucky us caught the last direct train to Zurich. :)
It was great fun and we even weren't tired. Guess it was a good idea to do the shopping centre first and then be outdoors. :)
Sunday...
Slept in which was wonderful, then made some food, then did a bit of training... Later played *Jak* at my PS2 - *lol* - you should have seen me. I got into 2 game sections where i had to do the stuff i'm worst at - driving and flying. *lol* i'm still best at running and searching for clues and jumping at the occassional enemy. ;) i'm a nightmare at driving and flying. BUT i actually managed well enough. Driving was even fun as i was out in the desert again with some big car that *jumps* so i had to cross cliffs with it. Heeheeh. Flying was very tricky. Now i'm back at running around with that weird ozelot on my shoulder. *lol*
So much for my game update. ;)
Later worked on a tiny shelving unit thing - used one of the napkins i'd bought, parts of it, along with painting it, etc. i think it turned out fine. The napkins bits could have been glued a bit better onto it, but i can't change that anymore and it's always tricky - sometimes this turns out lovely, sometimes just ok... Oh well, as long as it doesn't turn out like a nightmare...
Today...
Damn webpage blocked my cinécard. Since when do they let you put in your password only 3 times? I think i typed it in wrong first time, then got confused it might be wrong and typed in something else. I usually know my passwords really... *sigh*
Now had to scan my ID for them and email them. I hope they'll reply soon - it's really annoying.
I've made a reservation for tickets for The Corpse Bride this afternoon and i wanted to buy them online now so i don't need to be at the cinema that early. Gah!
Am flooded with work from miss i'm-the-best who's on a 2-weeks holiday now. Thanks very much. She shoved stuff into my direction without even telling me it existed (apart from the stuff that she'd already given me anyway, just great). I'd love to strangle her. I'd love our boss to DO something about her damnit. Tell her off for once. She does whatever she likes and if someone says - politely - something, she just laughs it off. Makes you want to scream!
This week...
Will be busy.
Work will be cause we're less people in our team and have so much work anyway...
And on the more pleasant side:
Today: cinema, The Corpse Bride
Tuesday: cinema, Elizabethtown
Wednesday: Irish dance training
Thursday: Jazz dance training
Friday: recover?
*lol*
